This exhibition presents a selection of paintings, drawings and ceramic works by mother and daughter artists, Marjo Carter and Sarah Frost. Each artist explores the essence of stillness, the tranquillity of composition and form and the relationship between simplicity, reflection and contentment. The works of this exhibition evaluate the personal practice of appreciative observation of beautifully humble subjects and objects in moments of reflective quietude.

As previous residents of Grenfell, Sarah and Marjo are delighted to return and exhibit together as a mother and daughter artistic duo.

“It’s like we have come full circle, returning as artists in our various disciplines and sharing our artistry with a town and community that we both have such fondness for, it is just such a wonderful, serendipitous opportunity.” - Sarah
