Chan Dissanayake is a multi-award winning watercolour artist living in Canberra, Australia. He is a highly regarded tutor and a well-respected judge of local and National art awards. Over the last 20 years his passion has turned to watercolour. A medium that thrives in spontaneous response and free expression. His mastery in watercolour is manifested by the vast varying subject matter that he tackles from rural landscapes, urban cityscapes to coastal seascapes. In 2017, Chan received the ultimate accolade for an Australian Watercolourist when he was elected to the elite Australian Watercolour Institute. He has contributed many articles to leading art publications such as International Artist, Australian Artist and Artists Palette. His direct and sensitive approach to watercolour has earned him much success both nationally and internationally.

"My paintings are impressions of memorable moments of my journey. These are attempts in capturing the mood and atmosphere of inspired places, that has stirred and moved me deeply. As a landscape painter, I love to portray the beauty of mother nature. All these paintings are from my local environment and places of visit in regional Australia. My chosen medium of expression is watercolour".

This exhibition will run from Friday 3rd December 2021 to Wednesday 12th January 2022.
