Maureen Locke-Maclean Textile Fibre Artist & Educator specialising in Japanese design methods and dyeing applications since 1986. Natural Indigo is an ancient dye, commonly derived from the plant Indigofera Tinctoria.

Maureen has exhibited nationally and internationally particularly in Japan at the Cultural Festival of Edogawa-ku Tokyo and the Kusunoki Cultural Festival in Tokyo and featured in various newspapers and textile magazines.

Experience the delight to using a simple running stitch to create a design, which is then compressed, material dyed, resulting in your own individual design. Notes on various stitch combinations will be provided for you to take home.
