Grenfell has a range of parks and reserves all offering something different from picnic areas to off leash areas for dogs. Next time your travelling through make sure you stop off at one of our gorgeous parks for a break and to stretch the legs.

Vaughan Park Melyra Street Yes Yes Yes Vaughan Park next to the Grenfell Public Swimming Pool and skate park. The park has public toilets, undercover seating, fencing around the road side of the play equipment as well as a small bike track.

Sports and recreation facilities

The Grenfell Public Swimming Pool is located on the corner of Melyra and Forbes Street, just a block back from the Main Street. It is operated by Weddin Shire Council and has an outdoor 50m pool and a baby's pool. The manager can be contacted on 02 6343 1756. Opening Hours during summer months are:

  • Monday to Friday: 6am – 8.00am, 10.30am – 1.00pm, 3.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Saturday: 6.00am – 8.00am, 11.00am – 6.00pm
  • Sunday: 12.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Public Holidays: 12.00pm – 6.00pm

PLEASE NOTE THE GRENFELL PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE 2016/2017 SEASON DUE TO THE FACILITIES BEING UPGRADED.

Next to the pool is the Skate Park which features banks, quarters, pyramid, blocks, spinr and more. 

Grenfell boasts a number of excellent sporting grounds which are maintained by Weddin Shire Council such as Stan Mccabe Oval, Lawson Oval . The R.B Bembrick Rugby Union Grounds are maintained by the Grenfell Rugby Union Club. The Grenfell Country Club has a beautiful 18 hole golf course (where you will also find native animals basking in the sunshine) and a number of tennis courts. The Grenfell Bowling Club has first class lawn bowling greens, netball and basketball courts and squash courts.
