Proudly Sponsored by the Grenfell Newsagency and Kathleen MC Cue Venue: Railway Station Grenfell Saturday 12th June 9:30am Poetry Sign ups 10:00 Start Saturday morning’s Poetry on the Boards at The Railway Station Grenfell will breathe new life in 2010 with the addition of renowned Performance Poet Geoffrey W Graham as MC. His exuberance and humour will allow us to freely enjoy the Walk up Bush Poetry delivered by You the people. Also a published poet in his own right, Geoffrey has strong links with Grenfell. This is the town where Geoffrey’s father grew up, and his grandfather and where his great-grandfather grew the first wheat for sale. 
 As always there will be an ensemble of Poetry readings and recitations of favourite or iconic Poets, like our Henry, through to Poets own pieces which they want to share. Poems are to last no longer than 8 minutes and a maximum of three pieces is permissible but cannot be read consecutively. This event is fast gaining notoriety for being the perfect platform to kick off a full day of festivities and entertainment. Come along and enjoy a whole gamut of soulful starters, including a hearty Poets Breakfast. |
