Grenfell Gold Fest

The Grenfell Gold Fest is back this year
and promises to be an entertaining day for locals and visitors alike!

The Grenfell Gold Fest will be held this year on Saturday the 27th of October. The upper end of Main St will be closed during the day with re-enactments and artefact displays. The Grenfell Gold Fest is a "Gold Trail" Event.

Festival Highlights

Last year, Central West band Collector played live music during the day on Main Street and children's entertainment including face painting was provided.

A vintage car and machinery display will be held at the Railway Station.

A Period Costume Competition sponsored by Essential Energy was held with cash prizes up for grabs for best dressed.

Australian Heritage Dancers

Australian Heritage Dancers will be performing in the street throughout the day with opportunities for audience participation.

The Lachlan Living History Group will be performing a historical re-enactment in the main street.

Poetry readings and historical artifacts on display.

 

Cobb & Co. Coach rides, guided tours and bush poetry recitations throughout the day.

The Art Gallery, Historical Society Museum and Wallangreen Sculpture Garden will all be open throughout the day.

Iandra Castle will be open on the Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
