Grenfell Gold Fest

On the Saturday there will be events held in the main street of Grenfell and around town, with Iandra Castle opening its doors to the public all day Sunday.

Throughout the day Central West band Collector will be performing live on stage.

Face Painting and Jumping Castle

10:00am

Activities will be provided to keep the kids occupied including face painting from 10:00am until midday and a jumping castle from 10:00am.

Cobb & Co. Coach Rides

10:00am

Coach rides will be available from 10:00am throughout the day.

Art Gallery

10:00am - 4:00pm

The Art Gallery located in the Grenfell Community Hub Building will be open all day.

Historical Artifact Display

10:00am

A display of historical artifacts will be provided by Mark Thurtell and Lachlan Living History at the Grenfell Community Hub.

Vintage Car & Machinery Display

9:00am - 4:00pm

A vintage car and machinery display will be at the Railway Station.

Wallangreen Sculpture Garden

10:00am - 4:00pm

The Wallangreen Sculpture Garden (Melyra Street) will be open from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

Historical Society Museum

10:00am - 4:00pm

The Historical Society Museum (Camp Street) will be also be open all day.

John Hetherington will be reading poetry.

Historical Reenactment

11:30am

From around 11:30am the Lachlan Living History Group will perform a historical reenactment in the main street.

Colonial Dancers

12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:15pm

The Australian Heritage Dancers will perform a number of times throughout the day with audience participation during the 2:15pm performance.

Judging of the Period Costume Competition

12:20pm

Robyn Horwell who works for the School of Arts Community Theatre in Wagga Wagga will be judging the period costume competition.

The competition will be judged in the following four classes:

  • Young Master/Young Miss with $100 for first place and a certificate
  • Young Lady with $100 for first place and a certificate
  • Young Gentleman with $100 for first place and a certificate
  • Vintage Couple with $200 for first place and a certificate

Guided Heritage Walk at Cemetery

12:30pm

The Grenfell Historic Society will be providing a guided walk of the Grenfell Cemetery.

Iandra Castle Open Day

Sunday 2nd October, 10:00am - 4:00pm

On the Sunday, Iandra Castle at Greenethorpe will throw open its doors to the public.
